You can see the Recent Posts Plus Widget in action over to the right of this page – titled ‘further reading’ , providing links to recent posts with associated thumbnails and custom descriptions.
When you are viewing a post, it cleverly doesn’t show the thumbnail and description of the post that you are currently viewing (which is what you want it to do)
